Below is a short description of my forthcoming book ‘Leaning into Love: A Spiritual Journey through Grief’ (Larson Publications, October 2014):

“I’ll find a way to be all right,” Elaine promises Vic, her dying husband and best friend of 42 years. Leaving the hospital after he passed, she had no idea how. Her uplifting story gives us faith in love, hope, determination, and triumph.

Leaning Into Love captures the heart—from the extraordinary closeness of Elaine’s marriage to how she and Vic transform their struggle with cancer and despair into a conscious relationship with mortality. After Vic’s death, Elaine leans into her ongoing love as grief leads her through overwhelming emotional and spiritual depths on a journey beyond their time together into her new life.

Hope to see you on Twitter. Thanks for doing this.

  14. Hello all! My name is Sweta. I am a novelist, author, award-winning poet, columnist, blogger, and educator. My Twitter handle is @ssvik. My website: http://www.swetavikram.com. You could also find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Words.By.Sweta.

I write both prose & poetry and have authored 7 (6 poetry + 1 novel) books. You could say I have always been drawn to giving a voice to those who cannot write— the underdog, so to speak. Social issues affecting women and children, hybridization of cultures, abandonment of homeland and its effect on individuals, nuances of identity—as an immigrant, modern woman who doesn’t need to be saved by the west or dominated by the east, are some of the umbrellas by stories & poems find a place under.

Looking forward to connecting with fellow word-dabblers!

    Best,
    Sweta

  18. Fran says:

I’m @beingfran which sounds a bit narcissistic, but my blog (http://www.ilurveenglish.blogspot.com) is called Being Me (also narcissistic) and Twitter wouldn’t let me have that. The blog used to be called ‘Being Miss’ when I was foolish enough to write about my teaching job, and I changed it to ‘Being Me’ when I decided I needed my job more than I needed a court case. My book is called ‘Being Miss’ and is a comic account of one day in a teacher’s life, available on Amazon Kindle. Hi everyone else!
