  1. WOW!! This is one interesting title you have there!! 😀

  2. Julie Luek says:

Oh what an amazing book this sounds like. I see I need to add a few books to my TBR list. Thank you for sharing.

  3. As the foreign wife of a a Japanese man, I’m very interested in reading stories of other expat wives. This one sounds particularly interesting, as there are so few books about Afghanistan.

  4. Annecdotist says:

Was fascinated to see that she’s brought out any kind of memoir, but the cross cultural aspect sounds particularly intriguing. I devoured Women and Madness as a Ph.D. student many moons ago and was really disappointed I couldn’t find a way of building my thesis around it!

  5. Beatriz says:

I would love to read this–can’t imagine going through that…

  6. Randy Kraft says:

I’ve been a fan of Phyllis Chesler’s for years. Many years. She was one of the voices I admired most in the modern feminist movement – she, Gloria, Robin Morgan, Mary Kay Blakely… they all say what other people merely whisper. This memoir should be fascinating.
