Sylvia Petter is Australian and lives in Vienna, Austria. Her stories have been  published online and in print, as well as in her collections, The Past Present (2000/2001) and Back Burning (2007). She holds a PhD in Creative Writing from UNSW, Sydney, and is revising her novels, Tillandsia and Ambergris, writing stories and enjoying her day job at the University of Vienna. Her agent in Australia still loves her.
