Meant To Be by Emily Giffin, Hardcover

I’ve always had an affinity for Camelot and the Kennedy clan, so when I learned Emily Giffin’s latest was loosely based on Carolyn and John-John, I devoured it in a day. Giffin does a superb job capturing the magic and challenges of this fated pair and leaves us all wondering: what if?

Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus, Audible

Elizabeth Zott will captivate you in this relevant, big-hearted story. A brilliant scientist in the 60’s, fate intervenes, and Zott lands a job as the star of a renowned cooking show. Her quirky personality and sharp wit make her a fan favorite but not only for the food recipes she shares. It’s the life lessons that strike a chord with this generation and make for a fresh, original read.

Nora Goes Off Script by Annabel Monaghan, Hardcover

Nora’s a romance channel screenwriter whose latest script has been picked up for the big screen, and they’re filming at her home. Enter Leo Vance, a hot, sexy actor, and things turn steamy and complicated. It’s a script within a script, a love story within a love story, making Monaghan’s adult debut the feel good read of the summer.

And Then There’s Margaret by Carolyn Clarke, Paperback ARC

When Allison’s mother-in-law moves in with them after her husband’s death, there’s no shortage of tension and drama. The novel explores the delicate mother-in-law relationship with warmth and humor, and I found myself nodding my head over and over again at the all-too-real joys and sorrows of family. Plus a nod to Judy Blume! Fans of Marilyn Simon Rothstein will devour this one. A fun, relatable debut. Releases July 21, 2022. Pre-order now.

The Lies I Tell by Julie Clark, Audible

Clark does it again. A master of suspense and twists and turns, we follow Kat and Meg, two women intricately bound in a game of cat and mouse. But when their game draws them close, no one is more surprised at the shocking revelations, proving that nothing is ever as it seems. Deftly written, a real page-turner.

Gilt by Jamie Brenner, Hardcover

Brenner is my go-to summer read, and Gilt has it all: a luxury family-owned jewelry business, a cursed diamond, estranged sisters, betrayal, secrets, romance, and ultimately, forgiveness. Set in Provincetown, Brenner’s depictions of the charming town make it an additional character. You’ll want to curl up on the beach for this one.

Sissie Klein is Completely Normal by Kris Clink, Softcover

Because most of us feel as though our lives are the furthest from normal, here comes Sissie Klein proving that even the best-laid plans don’t always work out. The moral of the story: we can learn from challenges and shape our own stories.

The Color of Ice by Barbara Probst, Paperback ARC

A brimming novel of art and passion set against a stunning Icelandic backdrop. Follow Cathryn and Mack while they navigate the textured beauty of ice and light. Through vivid descriptions and a keen insightfulness, Probst creates a seamless journey of self-discovery culminating in acceptance, healing, and unconditional love. Releases October 18, 2022.
