Promoting your book can seem like a daunting task. But it doesn’t have to be. I am passionate about helping authors find their audience.
Having worked in media for 30 years, I have extensive knowledge of the media landscape. I have worked in Australian television as a news and programs producer, reporter, and news presenter. I have also hosted and facilitated events as an MC and moderator across Asia-Pacific. I regularly media train and present corporate video/commercials. I had my own entertainment blog for nine years and have long written for other major websites, newspapers, and magazines. In 2020, I published my memoir China Blonde and subsequently managed my own publicity from television to radio, newspaper, podcasts, blogs, social media, and various events, which you can see here.
I now manage media relations for other authors and have many successful media campaigns under my belt, including for renowned philosopher and philanthropist Peter Singer and his book and organisation of the same name, The Life You Can Save, crime author Don Winslow (New York Times/international bestseller), as well as Holly Deane Johns, author of her memoir Holly’s Hell: 7 Years in a Thai Prison, distinguished television producer and author of Secrets Beyond the Screen, Anita Jacoby and Paralympian and author of Going the Distance, Matt Levy OAM.
When it comes to publicity for my authors, I don’t follow a predictable formula. Instead, I think laterally and create an individual media strategy tailored to each author and their book to achieve the best results.
With a long-term view, I pride myself on continually pushing for the right opportunity and commit to promoting my client’s books as if they are my own. You can find more examples of my work here https://www.instagram.com/nicolewebbbookpublicity/.
