Spring has sprung, and I hope everyone had a great month of reading. Can you say March Madness?! Yeah, the headlines can be depressing at times, so it’s always good to have a fabulous book nearby. With books you can escape and lose yourself in another world. Like I did! I hope you do too.

What to expect: Exquisite writing and world building, a successful, courageous woman protecting herself and the library she loves, and an honest account of race, class, and being true to oneself.
The Housemaid, Freida McFadden, Audible
Ex-con Millie moves into the beautiful Winchester home where nothing is at it seems.
What to expect: McFadden’s an Amazon Charts Bestseller for good reason. Creepy and suspenseful, the psychological thriller will have you ramping up your audio speed to 2.0, concluding with the fact that, ahem, women RULE.

A romantic comedy centered on Hallie and Jack who make a bet on which of them will find love first.
What to expect: Friends to lovers with steamy hot chemistry, the best banter I’ve ever read, and TACOS (because we all know how much I love tacos).
How I’ll Kill You, Ren DeStefano, PRH Audio
Triplet serial killer sisters who make their targets fall in love with them only to kill them. What happens when youngest, Sissy, falls in love herself?
What to expect: A twisty, creepy thriller, the loyalty and devotion between family, and did I say triplet serial killer sisters?!
Maame, Jessica George, Hardcover and Audible
Maddie’s trying to find her way in a complicated world, determined to experience all that life has to offer.
What to expect: An absolute delight of a read. A heroine who’s relatable and loveable, and a moving, provocative coming-of-age story.
Good For You, Camille Pagan, eBook
On month-long unpaid leave, Allie retreats to the beach house her brother Luke left to her when he died. But she’s not alone. There’s Luke’s best friend, Wyatt.
What to expect: Pagan’s warm and witty writing, friendship and sacrifice, forgiveness and healing, and one woman’s journey from “lizard brain” thinking to fully realizing her strength and worth. I spotted that, Camille.
