How to Register With Women Writers, Women Books
The following set of instructions will explain how to register as a contributor with Women Writers, Women Books. You must be registered in order to submit a guest post for the site. We also invite you to query first before registering, so you know your topic is likely to be published with us.
Register (Step 1): To create an account with Women Writers, Women Books, go to http://booksbywomenorg.netfirms.com/wp-admin. Click Register in the bottom left corner (Figure 1).
Username, Email Address, and Website (Step 2): In this step, you choose a username, and enter your email address, first and last name, and website URL. Note that your username is permanent and cannot be changed. Also, make sure to use the same email address that you used for your Gravatar account. (We ask all contributors to create a Gravatar account. For instructions on that, click here.)
Twitter, Facebook, and Password (Step 3): Scroll down and enter your Twitter ID and the URL to your Facebook page, if applicable. Note that your Twitter ID is just the handle, not the entire URL (e.g. “@YourName”, not “twitter.com/YourName”). Also choose a password to use when logging into the site. This password must be at least six characters long.
Disclaimer and License Agreement (Step 4): Scroll down and check the boxes accepting the disclaimer and license agreement (see Figure 4). By registering, you are agreeing to receive notifications by email when new posts are published. (You can unsubscribe from these if you wish.) When you have checked both boxes, click Register, noted by a red arrow in Figure 4.
Log In (Step 5): When you have finished registering, go to http://booksbywomenorg.netfirms.com/wp-admin. Type in your username and password, and click Log In.
You will then see the site dashboard and be able to choose to create a new post.
