HARVEST YOUR HAPPY

A Farm Girl’s Guide to Leading, Succeeding

and Living Your Best Life

Why I Wrote This Book by Camilla Gray-Nelson

I believe life is not as complicated as it appears to be or that we have been led to believe! That’s why I wrote my book. I am just like you: a woman who has lived life. I have experienced pain and loss, survived failed relationships and toxic work environments.

I grew up on a farm. Immersed in the world of nature, I experienced firsthand a reality of grit, resilience, beauty and abundance from the animals and the natural world around me. All things had a purpose and a place. Over years of introspection and observation, an epiphany unfolded for me, The secrets of success and being happy in life were not complex; they weren’t even “modern.” The secrets, it turned out, were Mother Nature’s all along.

In that moment of realization, I felt like Dorothy in the final scene of The Wizard of Oz when she realized, she didn’t need to look any farther than her own backyard to find true happiness. The answers had been there all along. I needed only my eyes and a listening heart to receive the message being acted out by my animal mentors that were, quite literally, in my own backyardI observed how animals relate to each other instinctively, encourage what they want without conflict and ultimately live contented lives. These insights helped me achieve the “arm-pinching” success I have today in my business as well as in my personal life.

Once I learned these secrets and began to successfully apply them it changed my life, I knew that other people could use them to find their own success and happiness. I wrote my book to share this new mindset and method so that you can use these secrets to get more of what you want from others with more willing cooperation at home and at work. You will learn Nature’s secrets of leading and succeeding to find your Happy.

HARVEST YOUR HAPPY is truly a farm girl’s guide, with all the authenticity, honesty and wisdom that real experience “in the field” brings. You will not find these methods anywhere else.

So often we know what we want from others, but in spite of our best efforts we can’t get them to come around to our wishes or, worse, we ignite conflict or argument. Whether it is fixing a troubled marriage, raising kids that mind, getting that promotion or motivating staff, we might think we are being clear and reasonable but nothing seems to work.

I’ve discovered after years of observation that the most basic animal instincts coupled with the awareness of ancient, unwritten interpersonal rules, enable animals to live harmoniously together while still getting nearly everything each of them wants or needs.  The simple truth is that we humans are animals too! The instincts of our own Inner Animal are a force invisibly affecting our behavior from the deepest levels. When you become aware of this underlying truth, you can learn to understand and channel these instincts, as animals do, to clear the path to success while preserving harmony with others and finding happiness for yourself.

Research confirms that the #1 predictor of personal happiness is an abundance of healthy personal relationships. Being “happy” (feeling or showing pleasure or contentment) is achieved in the animal world when animals follow a specific sequence of social behaviors which I decoded and now reveal in my book. Amazingly, when we apply this same sequence to our human relationships, we can harness the timeless wisdom of Mother Nature herself and we can be empowered! I structured this sequence into my Seven Steps to Happy Pyramid, which I share in HARVEST YOUR HAPPY. This sequence, along with the animal secrets that support it, is the foundational bedrock to achieving your own ultimate Happy.

I promise you; this new perspective will change how you see yourself, your family, your friends—and your world.   It is my hope that you will use these and other tools I share in HARVEST YOUR HAPPY to achieve your goals, improve your relationships, get back to what is meaningful and reconnect with your joy.
