About Books by Women

Women Writers, Women’s Books at www.booksbywomen.org was launched in 2011 to raise the profile of contemporary women writers and authors.

Contributors. We welcome contributing writers who write about writing, who you are as writers and women (writing women), and what you are writing.

Comments. Non-commercial comments are welcome. We encourage writers to get your photo icon connected to your email address via en.gravatar.com – which means your photo will show up when you comment on WordPress sites that use the “Gravatar” system. (Notice the little pictures next to the names of most of our commenters.)

Our Domain. Though the domain is booksbywomen.org, a simple, clear, easy to remember name, this online magazine site is called Women Writers, Women Books. Not grammatically correct. But it has a tolerable balance for the writer whose ear has been mellowed by too much Internet reading.

One of Many. This site is just one of hundreds and thousands around the world that gives a little lift to women writers as they, we, reach out into the world to find out readers and to grow the power and purpose of our voice. It’s an experiment. A little online blog magazine that could, started just about exactly 3 years after the very first blog this editor started. This one “could” way better than those first few (two dozen) blogs! (Two dozen to handle the variety of interests and not be all over the board.)
