BRIANA COLE INTERVIEWS CORRINE

BC: Hi, Corrine. I sincerely appreciate you taking this time to interview with me.

Corrine: Of course. It’s no problem at all.

BC: Can you start by telling the readers a little about yourself?

Corrine: Sure. (pause) Is my husband going to read this?

BC: He may.

Corrine: Okay. Well, I am married to a wonderful man, Patrick. My soulmate. I am certainly a lucky one to have him.

BC: And what do you and Patrick do for fun?

Corrine: We (pause) enjoy adventures. We like to try new and exciting things with new and exciting people. I think that’s the one thing we love most about each other. Our willingness to be open.

BC: So, would you say that you two are thrill-seekers?

Corrine: Something like that.

BC: And what about yourself? What do you do?

Corrine: I am a caterer. I love to cook so I opened my own catering business.

BC: When did you decide you were going to become a caterer? Has that been your chosen career path since you were younger?

Corrine: Well, I didn’t realize a lot of things about myself until I was a little older.

BC: Do you have any siblings?

Corrine: Yes, I have a sister, Gina. We’re very close. She’s like my twin. And she has my beautiful niece, Vanessa.

BC: That’s sweet. So outside of your sister, do you have any friends?

Corrine: I have a few. It’s sometimes a little hard to meet friends.

BC: Why do you say that?

Corrine: I mean it’s hard to find people who… share your same interests, you know what I mean?

BC: Yes, I think I know what you mean. So, tell me about your parents?

Corrine: Um, can we not talk about them please?

BC: Of course. I apologize if that was too invasive.

Corrine: No, it’s not that. I just didn’t really have the best childhood. I honestly would just prefer to forget it altogether (wipes a tear). I’m sorry. I definitely wasn’t trying to cry during this interview.

BC: No, please don’t apologize. I understand how a childhood can be unpleasant.

Corrine: Ha, I don’t think you could ever understand. Try traumatizing. That’s why I appreciate my sister more than she’ll ever know. She really helped me when I was at my lowest. It wasn’t until I realized my truth that I found my happiness.

BC: With Patrick?

Corrine: With myself.

BC: That’s good to hear. So, you have a wonderful husband, wonderful life, wonderful career doing what you love. You seem to be doing very well for yourself.

Corrine: I certainly think I am.

BC: What would you say are your strengths?

Corrine: I think I am a kind, beautiful woman that always sees the best in people. I have such a big heart.

BC: And what about your weaknesses?

Corrine: (considers) I have such a big heart.

BC: Your big heart is your strength and weakness? Can you elaborate on that for me?

Corrine: I am very loving, and I give and give and give. I can be a little bit of a people-pleaser. Unfortunately, that is what other people can take advantage of sometimes. But it’s all I know. I can’t change who I am. I’m just me. Corrine.

BC: It was such a pleasure speaking with you, Corrine. Thank you so much for your willingness to share yourself with our readers.

Corrine: I thank you for the opportunity to do so. ?
