whenwomenwakenDon’t have a Facebook Page? Reconsider…

  1. Most important, it enables anyone who wants a connection with you, to easily click, without personally bothering (interrupting, daring to request friendship of…) you.
  2. It shows up in Google searches (and Bing and Yahoo searches), as the FB pages are public.
  3. It is what was intended by Facebook, for people with public identities and hence ideal for writers.

    • “The Moon wants to be Spotless White” is my debut children’s book. I have learnt a lot about the process of getting published in this last one year, and am still learning the ropes of promoting and marketing. For an introvert like me, the latter part seems like a never-ending task, though writing in itself is pure nirvana…My second book, also for children, is in the making and should be out next June.

I find it especially helpful in getting the word out about events, readings, and workshops. My third book of stories, MAGPIES, came out last fall, and in February was chosen as the Gold Medal winner in General Fiction in the Florida Book Awards, which has led to an intense schedule of events this spring.

THE SANDCASTLE MYSTERIES: DEATH and DECEPTION at the JERSEY SHORE

Jackson, NJ-January 12, 2011. Eight Women Writers (pen name AMEA LAKE) put aside their memoirs and wrote this mystery novel in round-robin style. The women chose the Jersey shore as a backdrop for their book; the murder mystery intrigue extends as far as Venezuela. The authors have met monthly over the last five years to accomplish this fete and published the first edition in November, 2010.

This book was written to captivate and entertain mystery readers. This fictional story, which highlights Jersey shore coastal towns, as well as favorite restaurants and landmarks, has a real hometown feel and is a cozy read.

The Eight Women Writers have a website and a facebook page. They have scheduled book signings, seminars and hope to book TV and Radio interviews as well. For further information about The Sandcastle Mysteries: Death and Deception at the Jersey Shore, please visit: http://www.eightwomenwriters.com.
