On Writing Angels, Herpes and Psychedelics

Angels, Herpes and Psychedelics: How the book came about, and the process of writing it.

I’ve always wanted to be an author of a wisdom book with something like the five keys or the three tips that would empower others to live their life passions and purpose.  However, my soul had something else in mind.

Unexpectedly one day, spirit guided me by saying, “You need to write a book about your life stories,” I quickly responded with a “no, I don’t.”  After some bantering back and forth, the directive became even clearer “go get your pencil and white notebook,” and so I did.  The book outline flowed onto the page in about an hour. I was stunned as I found myself ready to heed the call and expose my deepest darkest secrets, successes, shame, and failures to the world. Why? Because I knew that connection is what makes the world go round and that we learn from each other by sharing our experiences.

Angels, Herpes and Psychedelics is an awakening memoir that exposes many vulnerable stories with the intention of harvesting life’s lessons and turning them into pearls of wisdom. It’s also a chronology starting at a time when I was deep in my pharmaceutical career and climbing the corporate ladder when my soul started quickening. Devastating events are exposed along with incredible experiences that helped in building a strong spiritual toolbox to persevere, integrate lessons, and access mystical inner wisdom.

I share many of my healing experiences along with the crescendo of exploring psychedelics that catapulted me into embodying the bliss of divine oneness. It’s through my stories that I encourage others to awaken and tap into their inner wisdom. Throughout the book, a myriad of modalities and tools are introduced that can help others live a life of peace in a world of chaos. If I dare to say – how to experience heaven on earth.

The process of writing and publishing the book was intense as it was a full-time commitment for nearly two years. However, the deep inner work had taken place over the last twenty. While I still had some big ‘ah-ha’ moments during the process, writing the book felt like doing a review of the many lessons learned along the way that had been marinating for years.

Divine guidance spoke loud and clear, yet again, with a directive for the title – as it wasn’t what I would have chosen on my own. That was probably the deepest inner work I had to do during the book-writing process. Although it prepared me for the critics and naysayers eager to throw stones as I stood naked.

Angels made the cover to share that we all have guardian angels, and they are here to help. Sometimes they are in angelic realms, and other times they come in the form of people here on earth.

Herpes was the hardest because it meant bringing up a topic that no one wants to talk about – which made it obvious that it needs to be talked about. Especially knowing that everyone now understands virus shame after enduring the COVID-19 pandemic. We are all up for releasing trauma, no matter what caused it – abuse, illness, death, heartbreak, etc. This also provides a platform to talk about viruses of the mind which is the most eminent topic to be discussed.

Lastly and most surprisingly – as a strict ‘anti-drug’ person, psychedelics made the spotlight. Being a flower whisperer, I was able to hear the silent wisdom of mother nature, although I wasn’t expecting to dive into the power of plant-based medicines, but I did. As a result, I’ve been able to experience a God’s eye view that’s provided a north star for my journey here on earth. All of these experiences have culminated in becoming a spokesperson to help shift the narrative around psychedelics as incredible awakening agents. We are all being called to unravel our minds so that we can get beyond fear and back to love.

What readers get out of the book is empowerment to either actively participate in their awakening by leaning in and learning from life lessons or receive encouragement to keep going if they’re already in full force. It’s a tough gig waking up and breaking out of the thought constructs and beliefs of the collective. However, being a unicorn can be magical because it brings you back to your uniqueness while allowing an experience of oneness on earth. The journey does require enormous trust and surrender to deflect the fear that the external world constantly displays.

A little bit about me. I left my corporate life as a pharmaceutical executive while living in Singapore to become an entrepreneur in Bali. After closing my brick-and-mortar store on Monkey Forest Road in Ubud, my products are now sold online. I’m also an advisor and show host on a mission “Pollinating the Planet with Love.” It’s by shining the light and showing the way that we inspire others to return to love and explore who they really are, not who they think they are or should be for others.

ANGELS, HERPES & PSYCHEDELICS

What if you realized that all relationships were here for your awakening? And you co-created the chaos and drama for your own growth and expansion…

Angels, Herpes & Psychedelics divulges Beth’s unexpected journey of awakening. From romantic encounters to toad-venom visions to angels in blue jeans, Beth’s story exposes how the soul’s true path can get messy, irrational, and even downright dangerous.

Raised in a small NORTH DAKOTA town, Beth learned to dutifully check the boxes. She went to college, climbed the corporate ladder, and married a man who reflected the midwestern values she was taught to want. There was only one problem: this was not the life her soul had signed up for.

If you’re looking for a tender tale of light, love, and burning sage, look elsewhere. Beth Bell’s sacred journey offers something much rawer. Her memoir strips away the veil of a picture-perfect life, revealing the illusions of self, the bliss of divine oneness, and all the healing, aching, chaotic beauty in between.

What if you could have a God’s eye view that unraveled your mind and allowed you to experience the bliss of divine oneness?
